frequently asked questions

+ Do my ice dams need to be removed?

If you are experiencing any of the following problems, your ice dams need to be removed immediately to prevent further damage:

  • Icicles have formed on the edge of your roof (with or without gutters) or icicles have formed behind your gutters.
  • Ice is building on top of the gutter or the lower edge of the roof. Ice dams as little as 1" thick can cause problems.
  • Ice is coming through the soffit vents or directly through the soffits.
  • There is ice or water on your siding or exterior wall surface. If the ice/water is an odd color (yellow-ish), it is water that is coming from inside your home through your exterior walls.
  • There is ice or water inside or around your window frames.
  • Ceiling and/or wall stains have appeared.

+ Do I need to be home at the time of service?

No, but it is preferred. If we run into issues with a circuit breaker or access to water, we won't be able to continue working. At minimum, you should be home when we arrive and are getting set up.

+ How do I pay for your services?

After you submit a request for service, we will send you an invoice for the minimum deposit due. In order to be added to our schedule, you will need to pay the minimum deposit due online using your debit or credit card or a bank transfer.

+ What can I do to keep my bill low?

  • Be ready for our arrival. Make sure there is room in your driveway for us to park and unload our equipment. If you live in the city, and street parking is the only option, try and save a space for us to use so we can be as efficient as possible.
  • Make sure access to power & water is readily available (we have equipment to thaw your spigot).
  • Move outdoor furniture & grills from areas where we will be working, to prevent us from having to move them.
