ICE DAM REMOVAL SERVICE
If you do NOT yet have ice dams, we suggest removing the snow from either your entire roof or select sections of your roof (we will help advise) as a preventative measure. Click here to learn more.
If you DO have ice dams, we will employ the following removal process:
STEP 1: Establish a water connection (if possible, please have your outside water turned on or ready to be turned on when we arrive. If that isn’t possible, we can run a hose to the water hookup at your washing machine).
STEP 2: Establish a 15 amp power source. We’ll need you to point us in the direction of an outlet either in your garage or home where the circuit isn’t being used for anything else (like an iron or hair dryer), to avoid power interruptions. If you think this will be an issue, please make a note of this in the request for estimate form and we will make sure to bring a generator.
STEP 3: Use caution tape and stakes to cordon off areas where snow & ice will fall from the roof. This will help keep your family and anyone who might visit your home during our visit safe.
STEP 4: Remove 6 feet of snow (or possibly more depending on conditions) from the soffits up towards the peak of the roof.
STEP 5: Steam 4 feet of ice from the soffits up towards the peak of the roof.
STEP 6: Use our specially designed ice dam steamer to safely and completely remove ice dams from the house.
STEP 7: Efficiently clean up all snow and ice that has fallen on any walkways and driveways using our snowblower.
STEP 8: Salt walkways and driveways.
